Sift together the first four items and set aside. Bring to a boil butter, cocoa, and water in a saucepan. Mix hot liquid with dry ingredients. Beat eggs one at a time and add one at a time and mix. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Bake in 2 layers at 350º for about 30+ minutes. Check for doneness. Convection oven bake at 425º for 30 minutes.
I used Wilton’s mini bundt pan and sprayed the cups. I also used a plastic spatula/scraper to mix with, did not use a hand mixer, I don’t recommend that you use one.
